Church Prayer List

Q: What are intercession and petition?

A: Intercession brings before God the needs of other; in petition, we present our own needs, that God?s will may be done.

St. Paul's maintains a prayer list of those who request intercessions and petitions for themselves and others. This list is published each week in the Sunday leaflet. Names may be added by calling the Parish Office (570-278-2954) or by email stpaulsmontrose@epix.net.

St. Paul's also maintains a weekly Cycle of Prayer, which includes the Anglican Communion Cycle of Prayer, the Diocesan Cycle, a Parish Cycle, the Montrose Outreach Cycle, and those serving in the military.

Many parishioners participate in intercessions and petitions sponsored by the Daughters of The King, and the Montrose Cycle of Prayer.
